Round Square” is an international network of schools focused on character education and experiential learning, built around six key ideals: International Understanding, Democracy, Environmental Stewardship, Adventure, Leadership, and Service. It provides a global community for over 200 member schools to collaborate on programs that go beyond traditional academics.

TEEN FEARS

Teen Fears is a Round Square collaborative story-writing and illustration project held on 28th January, 2026. The programme guided students through exploring personal and social fears using structured creative processes such as brainstorming, character creation, story mapping, illustration, and peer review. The core team from The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur—Aishwarya (9A), Aarya (9A), Keerthika (9B), Khushi (11A), Pranava (11A), Prarabdh (11B), Sraddha (11B), and Kirthan (11B)—worked collaboratively with peers from other schools, fostering creativity, empathy, and cross-cultural understanding through storytelling.

MOUNTAINEERING SUMMIT

Students participated in the Round Square Global Mountaineering Summit ’26, which encouraged youth to embrace the mountaineer’s spirit—bold, resilient, and driven—to build inner strength, inspire positive global change, and turn challenges into opportunities. The summit featured insightful and intellectually engaging presentations by participating schools, fostering meaningful dialogue and reflection. Prarabdh (Class 11), K. Aishwarya (9A), Kishore Kirthan (Class 11), and Sree Pranava Bhupathi (Class 11) represented the school with enthusiasm and maturity, gaining valuable perspectives on leadership and resilience.

SHOW AND TELL

Primary students participated in a Round Square Show and Tell session on 2 December 2025 on the theme “Hobbies and Interests,” where they confidently shared their talents and passions with peers from different schools. The interactive session encouraged self-expression, communication skills, and global connection, making it a joyful and enriching learning experience for our young learners.

GEOGRAPHY LAB

Students from Classes 9 and 11 participated in the Round Square Geography Lab on 27 November 2025, engaging in discussions on sustainability and building inclusive, sustainable cities. C. Amrutha, B. Manasvi, Karthik Sai, B. Dhatri, Goli Venkat Kalyan, Thaswika (Class 9) and Rushi, Sraddha, Pratishtha, Harshitha (Class 11) also contributed a well-researched slide to the session, showcasing their understanding of sustainable urban initiatives.

WORLD HELLO DAY

To mark World Hello Day on 21 November 2025, our students joined a Round Square initiative by sharing a short video greeting the world in their own languages. The activity celebrated cultural diversity, global understanding, and the simple power of saying “hello” from our corner of the world.

EVERYDAY LEADERSHIP WP

The Everday Leadership Zoom Postcard Conference, hosted by Barker College, Australia, on November 5, 2025, provided valuable insights into leadership and global collaboration.

UNSDG 11 SUSTAINABLE CITIES

Students Raaga, Vidya, Kirtan, Naimisha, and Sanjana participated in the Round Square Zoom Postcard hosted by Scarsdale High School, USA, on 22 October 2025. The theme of the session was “Hope, Innovation, and Positive News about the Environment – Exploring UNSDG 11: Sustainable Cities.”
The event provided an enriching platform for students to explore ideas on sustainability, innovation, and urban resilience. They engaged in insightful discussions with peers from India,The USA, and South Africa, sharing perspectives on how young people can contribute to creating sustainable and inclusive cities. The session offered valuable exposure to global collaboration and responsible citizenship.

Beyond The WIN

Students participated in a Zoom Postcard session hosted by Thomas More College
on 22 October 2025, titled “Beyond the Win: How Failure and Culture Shape Our Success Story.” The session highlighted how choices, setbacks, and cultural influences shape personal growth, emphasising that true success comes from learning rather than merely winning.

Prabhat (10C), Moksha (10D), Lakshay (10D), Keerthana (10D), and Shruti Suravarapu (10E) actively took part and gained valuable insights into resilience, self-reflection, and developing a growth mindset.

A ROUND SQUARE HARMONY AT HPSR – Tat Parivartanam: A Journey from Ideals to Action

On 11th July 2025, The Hyderabad Public School, Ramanthapur, hosted A Round Square Harmony – Tat Parivartanam: A Journey from Ideals to Action, marking a renewed chapter in its Round Square journey. Ms. Rajbir (Bubbles) Sandhu, School Support Director, and Ms. Pratima Gupta, Associate Director, visited the campus to interact with faculty and students, sharing insights on Round Square expectations. The event featured the Principal’s address, a cultural fusion dance, student-led presentations on the IDEALS in action, and performances celebrating unity and global citizenship. The programme reflected HPSR’s steadfast commitment to the Round Square philosophy — to serve, lead, and soar with purpose.
